The Beauty in Community

The Beauty in Community
I wanted to share some uplifting storied from YOU: Our Mend community!

Nobody Wants Free Lip Balm?
One of our TikTok followers won a giveaway for some free lip balms. I emailed her saying she won and she responded saying “I don't want it”. GASP. But not in the way you're thinking…she actually wanted to give the opportunity to win to someone else in our community!

So giveaway part 2 happens and we have a new winner! They emailed me and said “I don't know this person but they are in your community and I heard they are going through a hard time. I'd love to gift this balm to them.”

WOW. Then I email that person saying they've been gifted the free lip balms and GUESS WHAT? They said “I'm going to pay it forward. Once I receive these lip balms I'm going to hand them out to people in my life!”.

I mean….wow!! I may be biased, but I believe we have the best community out there!

Strangers Give Up Their $5 Coffee to Support a Grieving Family
TW: Suicide
I had a a member of the Mend community send me an email telling me their son recently died by suicide.

They asked about purchasing lip balms for the celebration of life - specifically the 988 lifeline and text line labels. I gave them the price for the amount they were wanting with an additional discount ($250). They mentioned it was more money than they were wanting to spend, so I asked if I could reach out to our community for donations.

Over the span of the past 3 days our community has raised $214 of our $250 goal, with a majority of the donations being $5-$10.

Want to donate? Click here to go to our donation “product” listing on the website. It’s in $5 increments so add as much as you’d like to donate to your cart. Then use “local pickup” at checkout so you aren’t charged for shipping.
